Part of the Savoring Series, which is one of my favorite series of books about Regional Cuisine, Savoring Tuscany is a beautiful book filled with sumptuous recipes and delectable writing about the cuisine and culture of Tuscany. As with all the books in the series, Savoring Tuscany is put together beautifully and all of the recipes are well written and presented. The recipes that we tested were all superb and the book is an excellent source for fans of Tuscan cuisine.

Thai Barbecue Sauce

Recipe Submitted by Angela Peters.

6 cloves garlic, minced
2 tablespoons minced ginger
8 serrano peppers, minced
4 small green onions, minced
1/4 cup minced cilantro
1 tablespoon grated lime zest
juice of 3 limes
1 cup hoisin sauce
1/2 cup wine vinegar
1/4 cup Thai fish sauce
1/4 cup honey
2 tablespoons dark soy sauce
2 tablespoons oil

Combine all the ingredients. Use on ribs, chicken, or steak.
